An associated person may be:

• a director or an officer of the business, or a manager of one or more of the business's branches;
• a person who, directly or indirectly, owns or controls the business;
• a partner (if the businss is a partnership);
• an employee of the business who works in Québec;
• a mandatary of the business, or an officer of the mandatary;
• a lender that is not a financial institution;
• the business's respondent (provided the respondent is not one of the business's directors, officers or partners, the business is not constituted under the laws of Québec and the business doesn't have its head office or an establishement in Québec).
