A UEPB is a type of benefit plan by which an employer (or organization) grants its employees (or members) coverage for certain risks that could otherwise be granted under a group insurance plan. UEPB costs are fully or partially covered by the employer (or organization), and the plan can be administered by the employer (or organization) or an insurer.
