Paratransit or Public Transit

If you make a trip within the paratransit or public transit service, select “Transport adapté” or “Transport collectif,” as applicable, in your sales recording system (SRS).

If you provide such a service, you can group, in a single sending and on a single bill, all the trips made and billed for the same customer for a given period.

Note

You do not need to specify the price payable for each trip made: the total consideration payable for the trips made must be shown on the bill.

End of note

When to send prescribed information

You must send the prescribed information for a given period immediately before asking your customer for payment.

This transaction is a closing receipt if you received the payment before producing the bill or if you charged the amount due to the customer's account.

You can also choose to give a temporary bill when requesting payment from the customer (or dispatcher), but this is optional. If you choose to do so, the temporary bill must conclude with a closing receipt produced when the total amount due is paid to you or when you charge this amount to your customer's account.

If you've omitted certain information or the information is incomplete, you can correct your temporary bill to send us the information.

For closing receipts, you can correct the omitted or incorrect information and send it to us.

Note

If the contract provides for billing periods, the information must be sent at the start and end of each period rather than at the start and end of the contract.

End of note

Other items to specify

If you provide a paratransit or public transit service, you must specify the number of trips included in the service and the dates of the first and last trips made in the period covered by the bill.

In addition, you must determine if the trips you make within a paratransit or public transit service are exempted from the $0.90 dues.

Examples of bills

Here are some sample bills containing the prescribed information for paratransit or public transit (“Transport adapté” or “Transport collectif”) billing.
