Secure email must be initiated by one of our employees. If you want to send us documents by secure email, call us at 1 800 567-4692 (option 5). You will be given instructions on how to register for our secure messaging service.

If you need to make an online payment and do not have a payment code, call us at 1 800 567-4692 (option 5) to get one.

If the MSB offers money services related to cryptoassets, other than the operation of cryptoasset automated teller machines (cryptoasset ATMs), you will need to submit certain additional documents with your licence application. For more information, call us at 1 800 567-4692 (option 5).

For purposes of the Money-Services Businesses Act, we interpret “funds transfer” broadly to include the following:

• payment service providers, i.e. all natural persons and entities that offer payment functions as part of a service or commercial activity that is not ancillary to another service or commercial activity
• mobile payments constituting a way to transfer funds or pay bills using an application, smartphone, tablet or other device

To confirm whether the MSB's activities are subject to the Act, you need to submit additional documents (such as the MSB's business plan) with your licence application. For more information, call us at 1 800 567-4692 (option 5).
