Changes in Your Situation During the Year
We process your shelter allowance application based on the information it contains. You must therefore quickly inform us of changes in your situation.
These situations can change your eligibility or the amount of your payments:
- You move.
- You separate from your spouse or you have a new spouse.
- Your spouse dies.
- The number of people who share housing costs with you changes.
- You leave Québec or come back to live here.
- You were confined to a prison or similar institution, or you were freed from detention.
If you experience one of these situations between the time you send us the application and September 30, 2024, you must immediately inform us in one of these ways:

Complete a new Shelter Allowance Application (LEX-165-V) or a new Statement of Rent (LEZ-14-V), or both, based on the information you want to change, and mail the form(s) to:
