Shifting to the WEB-SRM in Your Restaurant Establishment
This page is for you if you operate a restaurant establishment and you're still using a physical sales recording module (SRM) in your establishment. The information will help you shift to the new cloud-based IT solution (the WEB-SRM).
You must make the shift by May 31, 2025.
Click Required Equipment to learn about the new IT solution and to get more information on certified sales recording systems (SRSs) compatible with the WEB-SRM.
Getting an authorization code
You must get an authorization code to configure the certified SRS(s) you'll use in your establishment to communicate with the WEB-SRM.
To get an authorization code, complete form FO-350.CA-V, Application to Obtain an Authorization Code for a Restaurant Establishment.
- To avoid delays, apply for your authorization code a few weeks before the date you want to configure and install the certified SRS(s) in your establishment.
- If you need an authorization code fast, contact us.
To learn how to configure your certified SRS(s), click Configuring the Sales Recording System.
Deactivating and reinitializing your SRMs
You're not required to deactivate or reinitialize the SRM(s) in your restaurant establishment in order to start using the WEB-SRM.
If you want to deactivate or reinitialize your SRM(s), you must do so after installing and configuring your new certified SRS(s).
To learn more about deactivating and reinitializing SRMs, see IN-577-V, SRM User Guide.
SRM recycling program
We encourage you to use our simple, free and green SRM recycling program to safely destroy all confidential information in the modules.
Otherwise, you can deactivate and reinitialize your SRM(s) yourself or get an installer authorized by Revenu Québec to do it.
Filing periodic sales summaries
You must produce and file all required sommaires périodiques des ventes (periodic sales summaries), including the one for the month you start using the new IT solution. The summary can only be produced as of the first day of the following month if the SRM has not been deactivated.
