Change of Business Address
If you are an individual in business and you want to use our online services to change a primary business address that is also your home address, click Change of Address.
If your business is registered with us, you must keep your file up to date by notifying us promptly of any change in your address. You must update the address if your business moves or closes, or if you submit an address change to the Registraire des entreprises.
You can notify us of a change of address up to 180 days in advance.
Updating your address ensures that you receive any documents we may send you, such as notices, forms or cheques.
You must notify us of your new business address even if you signed up for mail forwarding from Canada Post. That way, you will receive everything we send you, including envelopes marked “Do not forward.”
You can use the change of address service in My Account for businesses or the Change Address online service (available without going through My Account). Be sure to note the reference number on the acknowledgement of receipt. You will need it to track the status of your address change.
In most cases, the change can be made immediately. If we are unable to do so, the timeframe will be mentioned in the acknowledgement of receipt.
You can track the status of your request in My Account or using the Status of Your Request service (available without going through My Account).
If your business is registered for clicSÉQUR – Entreprises, the Québec government authentication service, you can use the Changer d'adresse service in Zone entreprise (a secure portal with a number of online services for making and tracking requests) to notify several government departments and agencies (including Revenu Québec) of your change of address at once.
