Demand for Payment
If you owe an amount under the Act to facilitate the payment of support, we may send you a demand for payment showing the amount you must pay.
You must contact us within 10 days of receiving a demand to let us know how you intend to make your payment. You can either make a lump-sum payment or pay in instalments.
Your cooperation is key if you want to avoid collection measures being taken against you.
If you do not make your payment or enter into a payment agreement within 10 days of receiving a demand for payment, fees (adjusted annually and bearing interest at the rate set by law) will be added to the amount due. Collection measures may also be taken against you.
For more information, see Support Payments: Demand for Payment (IN-908-V).
