Tax Credit for Home-Support Services for Seniors

The tax credit for home-support services for seniors is for seniors who are owners or tenants, or who live with a relative. They can receive tax assistance for certain home-support service expenses.

Eligibility requirements

You may be entitled to the tax credit for home-support services for seniors if you meet the following conditions on December 31, 2025:

  • You were resident in Québec.
  • You were 70 or over.
Note Important
If you meet both conditions, you can claim the tax credit, regardless of your level of autonomy.

End of note

If you turned 70 during the year, only the expenses paid for home-support services that were provided or that will be provided on or after your 70th birthday are eligible.

Eligible services based on your place of residence

Your place of residence determines which services are eligible under this tax credit.

  • I live in my own house
  • I live in a private seniors' residence (including a private CHSLD that is not under agreement)
  • I live in an apartment building
  • I live in a condominium I own
  • None of these situations applies to me
