Remitting Other Types of Property
Follow the steps below to remit unclaimed property other than financial assets and succession property.
Movable property
Unclaimed movable property can be remitted by a government institution, hospital centre or police force. These are the steps to follow:
- Write to [email protected] to let us know that you want to remit movable property. We will write back to explain how to register for our secure messaging service.
- Complete form BD-805-V, Property Remittance Application (Excluding Immovable Property, Successions and Unclaimed Financial Assets), and send it to us using the secure messaging service. Make sure you include pictures of the property you want to remit and any relevant documents.
To reduce processing times, make sure you complete the form properly and include all the required documents.

Immovable property
Follow the steps below to remit abandoned immovable property:
- Write to [email protected] to let us know that you want to remit immovable property. We will write back to explain how to register for our secure messaging service.
- Complete form BD-806-V, Application to Open a File for Unclaimed Immovables (Excluding Unclaimed Successions), and send it to us using the secure messaging service. Make sure you include pictures of the property you want to remit and any relevant documents.
If you cannot use the secure messaging service, mail everything to the following address:
