Exemption from Paying the Québec Prescription Drug Insurance Plan Premium
If you have a functional impairment that has existed since before you were 18 years old, you may be exempted from paying the premium for the Québec prescription drug insurance plan, provided you:
- live with your father, mother or tutor
- were registered by one of these people for the Québec prescription drug insurance plan
- are single
- do not receive social assistance payments
- hold a certificate of disability from the Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec
You must indicate in Schedule K of your income tax return the months (complete or incomplete) during which you were in this situation in the year.
