Right to Data Portability
The right to data portability allows you to request that computerized personal information we collected from you be communicated to you in a structured, commonly used technological format (machine-readable), such as CSV or JavaScript.
At your request, the information must also be released to any person or body authorized by law to collect such information.
The right to data portability applies only to personal information sent to us electronically, such as through our online services. It does not apply to information collected in paper format.
Information to include in your request
Your data portability request must contain at least three of the following so that we can verify your identity:
- your full name
- your address
- your date of birth
- the number of your most recent notice of assessment
- your phone number in My Account

Email your request to:
Put “Demande portant sur le droit à la portabilité” in the subject line.
Processing time
We have 20 days from the date your request was received to respond. However, if necessary, the time limit may be extended by 10 days.
There is no processing fee.
Recourse
If your data portability request is refused in whole or in part, or if you are not satisfied with the response, you can apply to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec for a review.
