Product Developers
As a product developer registered as a partner, you have certain responsibilities with respect to your products and your business. For more information, see document SW-11-V, Management Framework Intended for Product Developers.
Important
In order to fully benefit from the services available in My Account for partners, each product development partner must keep his or her file up to date, including information regarding the business, resource people and products. Note that a request for validation could be refused if the partner's file is not up to date.
In-house product developer
As an in-house product developer, you must:
- inform us as soon as possible of any product limitations;
- send the results generated by your products, if applicable;
- ensure that your products generate documents that meet our requirements;
- quickly correct any problems with your products.
Commercial product developer
As a commercial product developer, you must:
- inform us as soon as possible of any product limitations;
- send the results generated by your products, if applicable;
- ensure that your products generate documents that meet our requirements;
- quickly correct any problems with your products;
- provide technical support to product users;
- notify product users that they are responsible for providing complete and accurate information when generating documents using your products (we recommend that you provide this information on product packaging and, if applicable, on your website);
- offer your clients products that meet our requirements;
- on your website, list your products' limitations, including limitations regarding the processing of specific forms, system specifications data and certain functionalities;
- explain to product users how their computers should be configured to properly use all the features of your products.
