On July 1, 2012, the fuel tax will increase by $0.01 per litre of gasoline delivered in the Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine administrative region. The amounts collected due to the increase will be transferred to the Land Transportation Network Fund and, in turn, used to finance the public transportation services in the region.

No inventory of the fuel in stock at the time the increase takes effect is required.
