In the March 30, 2010, Budget Speech, the Québec Minister of Finance announced that the tax structure of the pari mutuel would be changed to apply one single rate to a bet placed on a horse race held at a racetrack in or outside Québec. This single rate is 2.5%.

This measure applies to bets placed after March 30, 2010.
