Rectifying Your Tax Situation — Voluntary Disclosure Program

If any of the following situations apply to you, you may be able to rectify your tax situation through our voluntary disclosure program:

  • You have failed to file one or more income tax returns and you have an amount due.
  • You claimed ineligible expenses (e.g. carrying charges) in an income tax return.
  • You claimed an input tax refund (ITR) that you were not entitled to in a monthly QST return.
  • You failed to declare the transfer of an immovable by the deadline or according to the prescribed terms.

We have made changes to our voluntary program, in part to account for changes the Canada Revenue Agency made to its own program. To learn more about our program or make a voluntary disclosure application, refer to the following:

  • guide IN-309-V, Voluntary Disclosure: Rectifying Your Tax Situation
  • form LM-15-V, Voluntary Disclosure
