The tax on lodging in the Québec City tourism region

On June 1, 2007, the tax on lodging of $2 per overnight stay that had applied in the Québec City tourism region since July 1, 2001, was replaced by a tax of 3% on the price of each overnight stay. The tax is calculated on the price of an accommodation unit rented in an establishment located in the Québec City tourism region.

You can find out more about the tax by clicking on Lodging, or by referring to information bulletin 2007-2 of the Ministère des Finances.
