Using My Account to Tell Us Your Child No Longer Requires Unsubsidized Childcare Services
If you receive advance payments of the tax credit for childcare expenses and a change in your situation or in that of a family member occurs during the year, make sure you tell us quickly so that you do not have to repay any amounts.
Notify us as soon as one of the following changes occurs:
- One or more children concerned by your application for advance payments no longer require or will no longer require childcare services (this will affect the amount of your next tax credit payments).
- All of the children concerned by your application for advance payments no longer require or will no longer require childcare services (in this case, your advance payments for the year will stop).
Note that you will need to provide us with the revised number of days of childcare. You can ask your childcare service provider for this information.
You can tell us about the change quickly by using the Change Advance Payment Information: Tax Credit for Childcare Expenses online service, which is available in My Account for individuals.
