Privacy and the protection of confidential information are of the utmost importance to Revenu Québec.
Collection and use of information in online services
Our online services (My Account and clicSÉQUR express) collect confidential information that we use to process your file, apply the laws in effect and administer programs.
We may also collect information regarding your identity (such as your name, address, telephone number and certain identification numbers) in order to:
- confirm your identity in exchanges with you;
- retrieve the information needed to process your file;
- ensure the confidentiality of your information.
Cookies and Google Analytics
Both revenuquebec.ca and justepourtous.revenuquebec.ca use Google Analytics, a Web audience measurement tool.
To collect information concerning your navigation on these sites, Google Analytics uses cookies, which are kept on severs located primarily in the United States. Google may transmit this information to third parties if legally required to do so or if these third parties process the data on its behalf.
Google Analytics collects information about the pages you consult, the date, time, duration and frequency of your visits and the links you click. It also collects information about your operating system, language used, Internet service provider and geographical position (region). Your IP address is also collected, but is anonymized (truncated) to ensure the confidentiality of the information about you and prevent you from being identified.
Google uses the information collected only to produce statistics and reports on navigation on the sites, which enables us to improve our electronic service offer. Under no circumstances will Google relate the information collected on the sites with any other data that it stores.
If you wish, you may prevent Google from recording information about you by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Access to information by Revenu Québec employees

Storage and destruction of information
Most of the information we collect is kept on-site at our offices. However, in accordance with the law, we may entrust the keeping of certain information to a third party not located on our premises.
After confidential information has been used for its intended purpose, it is destroyed, subject to the requirements of the retention schedule approved by Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec and any legal requirements.
Security
