WebRAS and WinRAS – Calculation of Source Deductions and Employer Contributions

WebRAS and WinRAS can be used to calculate source deductions and employer contributions for each pay period. However, they do not produce cumulative data for successive pay periods.

Before starting

WebRAS and WinRAS must be used with guide TP-1015.G-V, Guide for Employers: Source Deductions and Contributions. This guide explains how to deduct, remit and report source deductions and employer contributions.

Important

Guide TP-1015.F-V contains the formulas for calculating source deductions of Québec income tax, Québec Pension Plan (QPP) contributions, Québec parental insurance plan (QPIP) premiums and the employer contribution to the health services fund. In the event of a discrepancy between the calculations using the formulas and those using WebRAS or WinRAS, the calculations using the formulas prevail.

Difference between WebRAS and WinRAS
