$3.5 billion are lost each year because of tax evasion.

That means $3.5 billion less invested in public services. It also means that a bigger share of the tax burden is placed on the shoulders of those taxpayers who do meet their obligations.

That is why the fight against tax evasion is a priority here at Revenu Québec. Our goal is not only to raise public awareness of the negative consequences of tax evasion, but also to effect change over the medium and long term, such that failure to meet one's tax obligations will no longer be condoned by our society.

Each and every taxpayer has an important part to play in the fight against tax evasion, be it by asking for a bill or by paying by cheque or credit card.

Here at Revenu Québec, we promise to take the necessary measures to fight tax evasion and to continue offering quality services that are accessible and responsive and that encourage taxpayers to voluntarily meet their tax obligations.

Our mission is to ensure that all taxpayers pay their fair share when it comes to funding Québec's public services. By paying income tax and consumption taxes, and by working together to fight tax evasion, we all play an active role in promoting our collective well-being.

Together, we can build a better future for everyone.

Fair. For all.

One vision. Concrete actions.
