Shelter Allowance Program
The shelter allowance program is for low-income individuals and families who spend too much of their budget on housing. It is open to homeowners, tenants and boarders.
For the period from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024, the program provides $100, $150 or $170 in financial assistance per month.

With the online service to view your shelter allowance file in My Account for individuals, you can:
- check the status of your application
- check the date and the amount of the last payment
- see any notices of determination
