What You Need to Know
The information on this page will help you continue to receive the amounts you are entitled to and meet your tax obligations during the postal service disruption. Check back often for the most up-to-date information.
Only cheques for the following will be issued during the postal service disruption:
- support payments
- shelter allowance
- solidarity tax credit
You can pick them up at your local employment centre (CLE) or Services Québec office. To find the CLE nearest you, use the online locator.
Cheques will be issued on the following dates:
Nord-du-Québec, Côte-Nord and GaspésieÎles-de-la-Madeleine regions | October 12, 2018 |
---|---|
Other regions | October 11 and 12, 2018 |
Note that all income tax refund cheques will be held until postal service resumes.
To ensure that we receive your payments on time, you can make them:
- online, using your financial institution's payment services;
- in person, by bringing your remittance slip to your financial institution; or
- in person, at one of our offices.
During the postal service disruption, you can file your notice of objection:
- by email, at oppositions@revenuquebec.ca;
- by fax, at 418 577-5254 or, toll-free, at 1 866 374-7286; or
- by dropping it off at one of our offices.
Note that notices of objection will be accepted via email only until postal service resumes. Also note that the email address given above is not a secure address and that confidentiality therefore cannot be guaranteed.
Use our online services to make sure that we receive your consumption tax returns as well as your source deductions and employer contributions returns on time.

To ensure that we receive your payments on time, you can make them:
- online, using your financial institution's payment services;
- in person, by bringing your remittance slip to your financial institution; or
- in person, at one of our offices.
All cheques will be held until postal service resumes. Register for direct deposit to have us deposit the amounts you are entitled to directly into your bank account.
During the postal service disruption, you can register for direct deposit by faxing a copy of form LM-2-V, Request for Direct Deposit: Individuals in Business, Partnerships, Corporations and Other Legal Entities, along with a voided cheque, to 1 866 342-1805.
