Purpose of the service

To claim the QST (Québec sales tax) credit for 2009

Users
  • Individuals
  • Individuals in business (self-employed persons)
Conditions for use

You must:

  • be registered for My Account
  • have filed your 2009 income tax return
  • not have claimed the QST credit in your 2009 income tax return (your spouse must not have claimed the credit in his or her 2009 income tax return either)
  • have had, for 2009, a family income that is less than the maximum family income that corresponds to your family situation
  • have been resident in Québec on December 31, 2009
  • have been 19 or older on December 31, 2009
  • not have transferred to your father or mother an amount as a child 18 or over enrolled in post-­secondary studies in your 2009 income tax return
  • have had no one receive the child assistance payment from the Régie des rentes du Québec with regard to you for 2009
  • have had no one claim, with regard to you for 2009, the credit for individuals living in northern villages
  • have had no one designate you as a dependent child for the purposes of claiming a tax credit respecting the work premium for 2009
Note

The 2009 taxation year is the last year for which you can claim the QST credit. The solidarity tax credit has replaced:

  • the credit for individuals living in northern villages
  • the QST credit
  • the property tax refund
