Fines

Persons who do not comply with the provisions of the Fuel Tax Act may be fined. Certain minor offences are punishable by a $200 fine.

In the case of a more serious offence, a fine between $1,000 and $100,000 accompanied by a prison term of up to two years may be imposed.
