Change of Address
For your convenience, we offer an online change of address service. To use it, you must:
- provide your social insurance number and certain personal information
- have on hand your income tax return or notice of assessment
In most cases, we will make the address change in our files immediately. If we cannot make the change immediately, we will inform you of the processing delay in the acknowledgement of receipt provided at the end of the procedure.
At the end of the procedure, you will receive a reference number so you can track your request using the Viewing the Status of Your Request service.
- You can also notify six government departments and agencies of an address change in a single operation using the Québec government's online change-of-address service (Service québécois de changement d'adresse). If you use this service after having notified us of your change of address, do not check the box reserved for Revenu Québec.
- We can, within the limits set by the Tax Administration Act, provide your information to other government departments and agencies. Therefore, make sure you provide your new address and not that of another party, such as your tax preparer.
