Creditor’s Recourse in Case of a Disagreement with Revenu Québec

If you disagree with a decision made by us with regard to the collection of your support payments, several options are open to you.

Regardless of the recourse taken by you if you disagree, we will continue to collect support payments from the debtor and remit them to you. We may also take measures to recover the amount at issue, unless a judge orders otherwise.

A judge may make such an order only in exceptional cases. Furthermore, the judge must be satisfied that support continues to be paid until a decision has been rendered concerning the recourse taken.
