Exceptions

In some cases, the support-payment file is not handled in the usual way. This happens if:

• the creditor receives or has received social assistance payments
• the debtor is insolvent
• the debtor cannot be located
• the debtor lives outside Québec
• the debtor does not pay support (we will take steps to recover the amounts owed)
