Québec Prescription Drug Insurance Plan Premiums

If your functional impairment existed before you were 18 years old, you may be exempted from paying the premium for the Québec prescription drug insurance plan. However, you must:

• live with your father, mother or tutor
• be registered by one of these people for the Québec prescription drug insurance plan
• be single
• not receive social assistance payments
• hold a certificate of disability from the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec

When completing your tax return, indicate the months (complete or incomplete) in the year that you were in this situation.
