Register of Unclaimed Property

You want to verify whether:

• you have rights regarding an unclaimed succession that is under the provisional administration of the Minister of Revenue or that is in the process of being liquidated
• you own financial assets that have been left inactive in a financial institution in Québec

The Minister of Revenue has made the register available on the Internet as a way to inform owners and other interested parties of the existence of unclaimed property to which they may have a claim. You can use the Register of Unclaimed Property service to do a search for property online.

Note

Consult the Bank of Canada for any search concerning an unclaimed balance in an account in a financial institution or a deposit with a federally chartered trust corporation. The Minister of Revenue does not have jurisdiction over such property.
