Fines for Tax Offences
The Direction principale des enquêtes (DPE) contributes to the fair administration of the Québec income tax system and social programs. Fighting fraud and the use of tax evasion schemes and unreported work, it seeks to obtain convictions of tax evaders by the courts.
The DPE also conducts inspections and investigations relating to fuel, tobacco and alcoholic beverages throughout Québec and monitors the maintenance and retention of documents and registers.
